Welcome to our visual diary project! We’re Bärbel and Louisa, a mother and daughter separated by more than 10,000 miles—one of us in Europe and the other in Australia. Despite the distance, we’ve found a creative way to stay connected and share our lives with each other through a joint visual diary.
Every weekday, from Monday to Friday, we each capture a photo of the first hours of our day, up until noon. Whether we’re traveling, at home, or even feeling under the weather, these images are shared independently, adding an element of surprise for both us and our viewers. Louisa’s photo (Brisbane) is always displayed first, while Bärbel’s photo (Moritzburg) is always displayed second. At the end of each month, we choose a “perfect match” from our collection of photos.
